Last night at the NHL Awards, the Anaheim Ducks forward Corey Perry took home the Hart Trophy, making him the NHL's MVP beating out the Vancouver Canucks' Daniel Sedin. Perry led the league with 50 goals.
quote:Other awards last night include Detroit's Nicklas Lidstrom winning his seventh Norris Trophy (best defenseman), Boston's Tim Thomas winning his second Vezina Trophy (best goalie) and Pittsburgh's Dan Bylsma winning the Jack Adams Award (coach of the year).
"You didn't know what to expect coming in, and then all of a sudden you hear your name and you're like, 'Oh,'" Perry said. "It surprised me." "You always want to build on the year before and I think it's a steady increase," Perry said. "Hopefully it keeps increasing."
