Earlier this week Denver's coach John Fox had some backhanded comments about QB Tim Tebow. Well now, after his come from behind victory Thursday to beat the Jets, Ole Foxy regrets what he said...
quote:

"I screwed up,” “What bothers me about that is I love Tim Tebow. How can you not? I’m his biggest fan.

“It’s my fault,” Fox said. “What bothers me about that quote is I love the guy. All I was talking about was how this is a different way to run the ball. Everybody wants to put a name on it. All we’re doing is tweaking the running game so we match up with what Tim does well. And I’m telling you, he’s getting better as a passer. He is improving.

“But that was one time where I lost sleep over it. I don’t ever lose sleep over things like this, but I felt terrible about it. We were 1-4 and now we’re 5-5. Believe me, I’m Tim Tebow’s biggest fan.”
I still don't buy he supports Tebow and it's sad that this kid is still fighting critics after what he's done in the last five games. How many games has Newton won this season with better talent around him and more games under his belt? Two. Only two.

"Cam Newton has DeAngelo Williams and James Stewart (both not having great years I admit), Steve Smith, Brandon LaFell, Jeremy Shockey, and Greg Olsen."

without Newton, this is essentially the same team from last year that failed to score 200 points.

Kyle Orton put up 350+ with Denver.

Tune in to a Denver game midway through the fourth quarter, because the first three and a half quarters are unwatchable.

Vs

Tim Tebow who has Eric Decker and Eddie Royal....??

Sorry, but I think Newton has more talent around him.

Tebow's still basically a rookie and is being scrutinized like he's been in the league for 5 years or so. It's obvious that Fox and Elway didn't put him in in hopes that he'd succeed. And their worse nightmare might be on the horizon because the kid is a flat out winner. He can ball and he doesn't turn the ball over. There are snap takers and there are play makers. Fox and Elway or trying to make Tebow a snap taker but he's a play maker when they take the shackles off.

I too, love watching him play and run that zone read in the NFL. Everybody says that it can't work. But when they actually run it, it's giving defenses fits.

It's pretty obvious that he was put in with the hopes that he would fail so they could justify getting rid of him. It's glorious that he is messing up all of their plans even with his god awful play for most of the game.

how does Carolina have more talent than Denver?

Carolina had the least amount of points in the NFL last year, by a HUGE margin.

The innovators get ahead in life and in football - it is time for the hybrid QB and a pro version of the option mixed In with play action. I enjoy watching Tim play and have a want to watch the Broncos play if the Saints are not on.
