Mike D’Antoni Lands New Job With The Pelicans
© Darren Yamashita-USA TODAY Sports
According to ESPN NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski, former NBA head coach Mike D’Antoni is joining the New Orleans Pelicans as a coaching consultant for first-year head coach Willie Green’s staff... I like this. D’Antoni has 16 years of NBA head coaching experience and decades more as an assistant across the NBA and around the world. He’s 718-555 as a head coach with 10 playoff appearances and a 54-56 postseason record.

How does this man get jobs?? They are about to run an already injury prone Zion onto the ground.

This is the best news of the Pelicans free agent season so far, and that is so deflating man. Takes the wind out of my sails as a fan who wanted the Pelicans to be successful with the overhauled front office. It will just be a place to go watch the superteams when they come to town, because this Pelicans franchise will forever be a farm team for Cali or Nee York to harvest developed superstars from.
