Tulane on Friday opted out of its four-game agreement with Georgia Tech just two days after the ACC announced its entire schedule -- leaving the Yellow Jackets with a hole to fill in Week 2.
Tulane was scheduled to host Georgia Tech on Sept. 6, but construction on Yulman Stadium, the Green Wave's new $55 million facility, may not be completed as expected by that date.
The schools could not find a later date to move the game, according to a release from Georgia Tech, which expects to announce a new opponent as early as next week.
Yulman Stadium is currently under construction and may not be completed until October. Here is what Yulman Stadium will look like:
