When trying to entice students to attend football games, it’s common for schools to offer free T-shirts or even snacks. Rice is doing that for its final home game of the season, plus a whole lot more.
The Owls are offering free beer for all Rice students who are of drinking age at Saturday’s game against North Texas at Rice Stadium. Students with a valid school ID also will get free Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, a $15 food truck voucher and a free T-shirt. The 6:30 p.m. game will be televised by ESPNU.
