With Scott Frost out at Nebraska, the Cornhuskers are looking for a big hire fast, which means Urban Meyer's name will be floated around. Paul Finebaum gave his take on the matter on Monday...
quote:

“There are a few game-changers in college sports. I don’t know about the fit, but Urban Meyer is the kind of coach if you’re looking to change the dynamics unless you’re in the NFL. He’s still a good coach in college football, but is Lincoln the kind of place that Urban can fit in? He would certainly be on my shortlist," Finebaum said (first transcribed by Saturday Tradition).

It's amazing what college AD's and fans can overlook if they think they can get a big name coach.

He runs an offense they can actually get recruits to come to Nebraska for and since he is Urban he can definitely pull in 4 and 5 stars. Would they be bold enough to do it though?

Thank goodness Paul spoke on this topic. I was seriously not doing well with my life coming to a screeching halt because I've been on the edge of my seat waiting for him to make me whole again.

Urban has some serious baggage but if Nebraska and their fans can look past it I think they take a chance. I think he’s the only available coach that can get Nebraska anywhere close to what they once were.
