On Wednesday, ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit appeared on Barstool Sports' "Pardon My Take" podcast where he discussed his youngest son Chase Herbstreit's decision to commit to Michigan and the blowback his family has received...
quote:

"I haven't seen a whole lot of reaction intentionally," Herbstreit said of the blowback to his son committing to Michigan.

"I know that 80 percent of people are thrilled and 20 percent are jackasses. I just decided - it's one thing to take shots at me, but if you take a shot at me, and you want to get into a fight, it's not hard for me to do that. So I just try to ignore that stuff the best I can and stay focused on the positive."

"Ohio State didn't really pursue him to the point of offering him a scholarship. They were close," Herbstreit admitted.

Kirk tries sooooooo hard to 180 the view of himself off-air, but he chooses to act a certain way on-air. Odd.

This board is way too hard on Herbstreit. It’s absurd

In the past this would matter. In today's CFB, no one cares.

So he's willing to fight over it?? What's he gonna do with his emotional support dog while he's fighting someone who is talking trash about his son going to Michigan?

LMAO that you think he's talking about a physical fight.

So, Ohio State fans have declared the Herbstreit family traitors because they thought the son chose Michigan over the Buckeyes, but in reality, Ohio State never offered him a scholarship? Classy bunch in Columbus.
