On Monday, former Cardinals coach Charlie Strong left Louisville to take the head coaching position at Texas. It is being reported by Courier-Journal.com that current Western Kentucky coach Bobby Petrino is interested in coming back to the University of Louisville where he was once successful years ago. Petrino was at Louisville from 2003-06 and had a impressive 41-9 record. Per Petrino's Dad, Bobby Petrino Sr.:

“He told me this weekend he would like the opportunity to coach at Louisville again,” Bob Sr. said by telephone on Monday. “He said that he’s been everywhere, the NFL and everywhere else, and he said probably the biggest mistake he’d ever made as a coach was leaving Louisville.”

Assuming he is reformed, he deserves another shot...so tempting to hire him because he is good.
