According to multiple reports, Bobby Petrino will be returning to Louisville as head coach. Per Pat Forde with Yahoo Sports:

Athletic director Tom Jurich is expected to meet with Petrino's agent, David Dunn, Wednesday night to finalize contract details. The school plans to introduce Petrino Thursday.

On Monday, former Cardinals coach Charlie Strong left Louisville to take the head coaching position at Texas. It is being reported by Courier-Journal.com that current Western Kentucky coach Bobby Petrino is interested in coming back to the University of Louisville where he was once successful years ago. Petrino was at Louisville from 2003-06 and had a impressive 41-9 record. Per Petrino's Dad, Bobby Petrino Sr.:

“He told me this weekend he would like the opportunity to coach at Louisville again,” Bob Sr. said by telephone on Monday. “He said that he’s been everywhere, the NFL and everywhere else, and he said probably the biggest mistake he’d ever made as a coach was leaving Louisville.”

That's laughable...he's made a major mistake with every head coaching job he's held. To say leaving a basketball schools program was the biggest mistake is hilarious.
