ESPN is reporting former New York Mets clubhouse manager Charlie Samuels has been indicted on charges of theft and fraud, possessing nearly $2.3 million of Mets game memorabilia. He's also being charged with embezzling $24,955 from the the team by submitting inflated expense claims and failing to pay taxes on tips and dues he recieved from the Mets. Samuels was with the Mets for 27 seasons. My favorite quote from the article is by New York police commissioner, Raymond Kelly...
quote:

"This is a case of the equipment manager leading the National League in steals."
Gotta love New York.
