Multiple sources are reporting that Mississippi State has hired USC linebacker coach and recruiting coordinator Peter Sirmon to be the teams new defensive coordinator.

Sirmon will replace Manny Diaz who left Starkville to join Mark Richt's staff at Miami (Fla.).
