Ryan Schimpf and Blake Dean launched back-to-back home runs in a five-run third inning, and the LSU pitching staff hurled five straight scoreless frames after the fourth to lead the No. 6 Tigers past Southeastern Louisiana, 6-5, Tuesday night in Alex Box Stadium. LSU improved to 29-12.

The Tigers return to action tonight when they face Louisiana-Lafayette at Zephyr Field in Metairie in the Wally Pontiff Classic. First pitch is at 7pm CT. The Cajuns enter the game with a record of 18-19.
