LSU, fresh off a victories against Arkansas and Auburn last week, moved to No. 18 in both the AP and Coaches' Polls. Click here for complete polls.
The Tigers improved to No. 33 in the RPI. The RPI (Rating Percentage Index) is a measure of strength of schedule and how a team does against that schedule. The RPI is a tool used in selecting and seeding the 65 teams for the NCAA Men's basketball Division I tournament.
LSU (23-4 overall, 11-1 in SEC) has now won eight straight games overall and eleven straight SEC games. The Tigers are assured of at least a tie for the SEC Western Division championship and the No. 1 seed on the West side at the SEC Tournament in Tampa next month. LSU will host Florida tonight in the PMAC at 8pm CT. The game will be televised on ESPN. The Gators are 21-6 overall (8-4 in the SEC).
