Miles Introduces Additions to Coaching Staff
by Chicken
January 17, 20090 Comments
Les Miles introduced his three new hires at a press conference yesterday. Defensive coordinator John Chavis, defensive backs coach Ron Cooper and defensive line coach Brick Haley met the press, and by all indications, they were blown away by LSU.
According to this article in The Advocate by Joseph Schiefelbein, Miles is pushing back the start of Spring practice so the new defensive staff and the players can have more time to get acclimated to each other before hitting the field. According to Schiefelbein, look for drills to start around mid-March, possibly March 12, and the spring game to be played on April 18. LSU officials have not confirmed any start date.
In Basketball news, the Men's team goes for its first road win at Ole Miss today. Tip-off is at 3pm CT. "Stromile Swift", our resident hoops expert, predicts a win in this preview of the game.
