LSU pitcher Alex Lange was named SEC Freshman of the week on Monday. Per SECSports.com:

Freshman of the Week: Alex Lange, LSU:

• Fired a career-high 13 strikeouts in eight innings on Saturday vs. Ole Miss.
• Lange, who was not involved in the decision, limited the Rebels to just one earned run on three hits with no walks.
• Lange, who threw 117 pitches, recorded the most strikeouts by an LSU pitcher in a single game since April 11, 2014, when Aaron Nola also collected 13 strikeouts against Arkansas.
• Lange is 4-0 this season with a 1.45 earned run average, and he has 39 strikeouts in 31 innings while holding opponents to a .185 batting average.
Collegiate Baseball Newspaper also acknowledge Lange as a National Player of the Week:
