In LSU Basketball news, the Tigers (25-6, 13-3) will be the top seed in this week's SEC Tournament at the St. Pete Times Forum in Tampa, FL. LSU will play Kentucky or Ole Miss at noon CT on Friday, March 13.
The Tigers have lost their last two games after winning 10 straight games and claiming the SEC title. LSU lost at Auburn, 69-53, on Saturday.
In LSU Baseball news, the No. 1 ranked Tigers stumbled this weekend against Illinois, losing two of three games to the Fighting Illini.
LSU, which was averaging twelve runs per game and hadn't scored fewer than six runs in a contest prior to this weekend's series, was held to just one run on Friday (3-1 loss) and two runs on Sunday (6-2 loss). The Tigers did come alive on Saturday, as LSU hit three Grand Slams and beat Illinois 22-10.
The Tigers will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Hammond to face Southeastern. The first pitch is at 6pm CT.
In LSU Football news, the Tigers return to the practice field on Thursday to start Spring Drills. Glenn Guilbeau talks about the void at the fullback position in this article. Looks like Steven Ridley and Tyler Edwards will be vying for the starting role.
The Spring Football game will be held on Saturday, April 18.

The LSU Softball team won two of three against Kentucky to improve to 14-5 overall, 2-1 in SEC play.
The LSU Women's Basketball team was ousted from the SEC Tournament when they lost to Vanderbilt, 61-47, on Saturday. The Ladies (18-10) will now await an NCAA Tournament bid when the field of 64 is unveiled on Monday, March 16 at 6 pm CT on ESPN.
