LSU head coach Ed Orgeron introduced new assistant head coach, running back coach, and recruiting coordinator Tommie Robinson on Thursday.

Robinson, who was recently named one of the top recruiters in the country, joins LSU's staff after coaching the running backs at USC in 2016. He also coached for Trojans in 2013 under Orgeron who served as interim head coach when Lane Kiffin was fired mid-season.

When asked why he chose to leave USC for LSU, Robinson's answer was simple...
quote:

"The sell was Coach O," Robinson said. "He's given me the opportunity to be an assistant head coach and a recruiting coordinator, something I've wanted to do."

"At the end of the day, it was all about him. He is a true friend of mine. I've been coaching football almost 32 years now and in 2013 I had the most fun I've ever had coaching football. And that was with coach Orgeron."

"At the end of the day, the sell was Ed Orgeron."

Hated to lose both of those guys. Hard not to pull for them to succeed.

Say what you want about Coach O, but he is well liked by players and coaches, and I think that will help him be successful for the LSU Tigahs
