ESPN writer David Ching pegged LSU at No. 2 behind Ole Miss in his latest SEC Power Rankings:
quote:

2. LSU Tigers (3-0): Les Miles’ Tigers delivered a second penalty-laden performance in three games, committing 120 yards worth of costly penalties in a win at Syracuse. But at least the Tigers have Leonard Fournette, who is on an otherworldly pace right now at running back. Fournette’s 244 rushing yards and two touchdowns saved LSU against Syracuse.
Complete SEC Power Rankings:
1. Ole Miss Rebels (4-0)
2. LSU Tigers (3-0)
3. Georgia Bulldogs (4-0)
4. Texas A&M Aggies (4-0)
5. Alabama Crimson Tide (3-1)
6. Mississippi State Bulldogs (3-1)
7. Florida Gators (4-0)
8. Kentucky Wildcats (3-1)
9. Tennessee Volunteers (2-2)
10. Missouri Tigers (3-1)
11. South Carolina Gamecocks (2-2)
