Two Former Tigers Among Finalists For 2017 NFL Hall Of Fame Class

Former standout LSU offensive linemen Kevin Mawae and Alan Faneca made the list of 15 modern-era finalists for the Pro Football Hall of Fame's Class of 2017. Per NOLA.com:
The class of 2017 will be elected on Feb. 4 and inductions will be Aug. 5 in Canton, Ohio.

Faneca was also a finalist last year, his first year of eligibility. He was a six-time All-Pro guard and nine-time Pro Bowler with the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets from 1998 to 2009. He finished his 13-year career with the Arizona Cardinals in 2010. Faneca started for the Steelers in their 21-10 victory against Seattle in Super Bowl XL.
Mawae was a semifinalist the past two years. He played 16 seasons with the Seattle Seahawks, New York Jets and Tennessee Titans. The former Leesville High School standout was an eight-time Pro Bowler and eight-time All-Pro.
The class of 2017 will be elected on Feb. 4 and inductions will be Aug. 5 in Canton, Ohio.
