LSU interim head coach Tony Benford addressed the media on Tuesday afternoon and said that Javonte Smart practiced with the team today but did not know if he would be available for the SEC Tournament.

Benford said he would be making some calls after the media session to see if Smart would be ready to play on Friday.

I like ur positivity but u are about as wrong as u could be. Unfortunately both have likely played and coached their last game at LSU.

Ok so who ultimately makes this decision since the NCAA hasn’t investigated LSU on this matter yet and will be well after the season I’m assuming. If we are waiting for our Compliance team to make a decision and with the human punching bags we have as administrators. We are essentially set up for disappointment waiting on Smart much less Wade to be back before the final buzzer goes off on this season. JMO
