Three LSU Players Named To Bednarik Watch List

LSU linebacker Kendell Beckwith, cornerback Tre’Davious White and Jamal Adams were all named to the Chuck Bednarik Award Watch List on Tuesday.
The award is given to the College Defensive Player of the Year. Per LSUSports.net:

A native of Clinton, Louisiana, Beckwith finished second on the team in 2015 with 84 tackles as the starting Mike linebacker. He added 10.0 tackles for a loss and 3.5 sacks on the season, and he wrapped up the year with a fantastic performance in the Texas Bowl where Beckwith posted eight tackles with 4.0 tackles for a loss and 2.5 sacks in the win over Texas Tech.
A Shreveport, Louisiana native, White is back for his fourth year as a starting cornerback for the Tigers and his third as the punt returner. A Second-Team All-SEC selection in 2015, White led LSU with seven pass breakups a year ago and finished with 44 tackles, including 30 solo, and he returned 20 punts for 229 yards with a 69-yard touchdown return at Syracuse.
A native of Lewisville, Texas, Adams earned Second-Team All-SEC recognition in 2015 after he led the team with four interceptions, finished third on the squad with 67 tackles and added 5.0 tackles for a loss and six pass breakups.
