On Monday night, Tennessee Titans quarterback Zach Mettenberger took on the Pittsburg Steelers and became the 4th former LSU QB to start on Monday Night Football.

The Steelers held off the Titans 27-24, but the former LSU QB looked good in his Monday Night debut.

Mettenberger was 15/24, throwing for 263 yard, the most ever by a rookie QB on Monday Night Football, and finished with a 110.2 passer rating. He also had two TD passes and one INT. The INT however was costly as it was returned for a Steelers touchdown.

Overall it was a good outing for Mettenberger, and NFL.com writer Dan Hanzus said in this article that the Titans are more exciting with him playing quarterback.
quote:

"The Titans are a more exciting team to watch with Zach Mettenberger under center. He recovered nicely from a first-play pick-six to throw two touchdown passes. He would have had a third if Dexter McCluster could hold on to a hot-route throw near the goal line (those missing four points would loom large). Mettenberger doesn't move well, but he stands tall in the pocket and keeps his eyes downfield. He's definitely worth the look Tennessee will give him the rest of the way."

One thing I loved about mett the dude had stone feet but he would stand tall in the pocket and keep his eyes downfield and deliver strikes while getting absolutely crushed.
