In the latest ESPN SEC Roundtable discussion, LSU senior offensive lineman Ethan Pocic told Greg Ostendorf why he chose to come down to Baton Rouge all the way from Lemont, IL.
quote:

Ethan Pocic, OL, LSU:
"I just loved the tradition, loved the great players that come through LSU, national championships, going to be a possible contender. I thought the SEC has the best rivalries out there. Of course, that’s up for debate. A lot of people like the Ohio State-Michigan [rivalry]. But I just feel like coming to LSU was the best decision I ever made, and I don’t look back on it. It was kind of one of those things where I woke up in the morning and was like, ‘I want to go to LSU, so I’m going to go to LSU.’ I committed that day."
The former four-star prospect chose LSU over offers from schools such as Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Clemson, Florida, Florida State, Iowa, Michigan, Michigan St., Missouri, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio St., Oklahoma, Oregon, Tennessee, Texas A&M, USC, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Pocic started all 12 games at center as a junior last season and was recently named to the Rimington Trophy watch list which is presented annually to the top center in Division I football.

I think that I remember him making a comment about him loving our offense when he committed. At that point, I knew he was going to be a great run blocker. Never heard an OL recruit in 10 years talk about loving our offense.

not sure why an offensive lineman would not like our offense...the running game is where the big dogs live and our running game is consistently a stellar one.
