Adam Rittenberg with ESPN is reporting that LSU wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph is "in the mix" to interview for the open head coaching job at FCS Stephen F. Austin.

Joseph, a New Orleans native, was hired to LSU's staff back in February of 2017 after spending one season as Louisiana Tech's running backs coach. He played quarterback at Nebraska from 1988-91 and was top recruit coming out of Archbishop Shaw High School in Marrero.

I would be happy if he goes but then I realize O will just hire another guy who's his best bud that's close to being buried 6ft. under and catch recruit.

Good for Joseph. People here rag on him as if he can go out there and catch the ball for the WRs. WRs have been dropping passes at LSU waaaaay before he got here. Joseph did real Jamar Chase in for us and there is no telling what kind of coaching confusion O has going on with Sullivan being a passing game coordinator or what ever his title is and how has that affected Joseph's involvement in developing as a coach.

“dropping passes at LSU waaaaay before he got here”. So what you’re saying is that he didn’t fix the problem??

I wish every single coach from the offensive side of the ball would be fired. Clean house and start over.
