Former LSU wide receiver commit Da'Monte Coxie from Reserve, LA (East St. John) is set to enroll at Memphis, according to Jimmy Smith with NOLA.com:

Coxie was originally committed to the 2016 LSU class but did not sign with the Tigers on National Signing Day.

The 6-foot-3, 185-pounder was a long-time LSU commitment, but due to an academic situation that caused Coxie to be a late qualifier, the Tigers were not an option this late in the process. Alabama and other programs were keeping tabs on Coxie, but ultimately it was Memphis University that extended an offer to the playmaker.

"I am feeling a sense of relief," Coxie said. "I'm ready to ball and that is about it."

Wanted to play for LSU but didn't have the academic requirements together in time. Nothing to see here.
