New LSU wide receiver coach Mickey Joseph was officially introduced to the Baton Rouge media on Thursday and was asked about the report of an "LSU boycott" by New Orleans area high school coaches that surfaced this week.

Joseph made it clear that there was never going to a meeting about a boycott.
quote:

"First of all, I have strong relationships with those coaches in New Orleans," Jospeh said. "I've been recruiting New Orleans since 1999. I either grew up with those guys or mentored those guys along the way. I have spoken to all of those guys"

"It was never a meeting where a boycott was going to be discussed. Those guys are really in it for their kids. We don't know how that started or how it got out there. But it was never a meeting about that.

"A meeting the was going to place to educate each other on a recruiting game and also how to get some financial help to help their kids get to these camps. A lot of kids in New Orleans can afford $35-40 dollars to get to a camp."

"One negative thing got written out and it just carried on. But after talking to those guys at those respected high schools, it was never going to be that."
Here is more of what Joesph had to say on Thursday:

“When you leave the state to play football, when you come out of the locker room there’s nobody there." What a load of horse shite. I hope he comes up with something more believable with recruits.

He might have been insinuating that the state of Louisiana takes care of those players who stay in state to play college football, while other schools do not care nearly as much when Louisiana HS players go out of state to play. Or he could have been talking about Kansas and be absolutely spot on.

Could some one proof read these articles for spelling with all the mistakes it is hard to understand. It only costs 35 or 40 dollars for camp?
