ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kipper had some great things to say about LSU linebacker Deion Jones, who he believe could be a first or second round pick in this years upcoming NFL Draft. Per NOLA.com:
quote:

"He went from being a late-rounder to a first- or second-round pick," Kiper said. "He probably enjoyed as monumental a leap up the board as any player at any position in this draft. That's not unheard of, but it rarely happens.

"If he can get his weight up to about 225 in this league, that would be fine. He can run to the ball, great sideline to sideline speed, tremendous ranges. He had an incredible year."

I was happy to see him make the most of his first full year starting. Hee got a great motor and hits like a truck. Like Kiper said, if he gets his weight up a bit (which he will) he'll make some team very happy.

Could see his ability to play on sundays from the 1st game last season...a real Baller...

Cards trade up in the 2nd and snag him. Arizona continues to win with LSU players

Loved him since he was a freshman. When he finally got his turn, he put up one of the best seasons for an LB in Les Miles' tenure.

LSU is becoming somewhat of an LB factory with Perry, Sheppard, Minter, Alexander, and I have no doubt that Debo will be a very productive NFL starter as well.

And I ask again.
How was this man on the bench for 3 years...
He didn't just get good...

P.S.
Size doesn't make tackles..
"Want to" is all you need to be a great tackler.

Nobody flies to the ballquicke than Deon Jones..
Put on his high school tape..
He is the same player....

If not for Chavis, this dude would have been a top half of the 1st round.
