The LSU Board of Supervisors athletic committee approved contract extensions and raises for wide receivers coach Mickey Joseph and head strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt on Friday.

Moffitt will receive a $15,000 raise from $415,000 to $430,000, while Joseph is receiving a two-year extension with a $75,000 raise from $225,000 to $300,000. Per NOLA.com:

Moffitt, LSU football’s strength coach since 2000, is receiving a $15,000 raise from $415,000 to $430,000 in base pay, while Joseph is receiving a two-year extension with a 33 percent raise.

Joseph has spent the past two seasons as LSU’s receivers coach. His contract ran through March 2019, but it automatically rolled over for another year at the conclusion of his term.

He got a 3.6% raise. Most places call that a cost of living adjustment.

I do believe Moffitt is no longer one of the top S&C Coordinators. He used to be the most innovative strength coach in the country. The times have passed him by. It’s evident on both LOSs. FCS players were pushing and pancaking our guys. That’s not ok. Also the injuries. Every team deals with injuries but it seems the team has really struggled in that regard. O ending full contact was supposed to cut down on injuries but it’s been contrary to that method.

Appropriate action in that it was earned by each.

Great. How many Jugs reps a day are the WRs getting in the off-season? Anything less than a hundred a day is a crime against the WRs and the program.
