The 14th ranked LSU Tigers begin SEC play this Saturday on the road at Davis Wade Stadium against the 25th ranked Mississippi State Bulldogs. LSU's all-time overall record against Mississippi State is 71-34-3.

Last year, the Tigers were ranked No. 8 when the Bulldogs came to Baton Rouge and beat LSU 34-29. Mississippi State quarterback Dak Prescott passed for 268 yards and 2 TD's, while adding 105 rushing yards and 1 TD on the ground.

LSU quarterback Brandon Harris came in to the game during the fourth quarter to replace Anthony Jennings and made things interesting late by throwing for 140 yards with 2 TD's and 1 INT. Both touchdown passes were caught by Malachi Dupre.

Harris' interception was on a hail-mary pass to win the game that was caught by Mississippi State defensive back Will Redmond at the goal line.
