LSU will head to Oxford as a slight favorite for Saturday’s highly anticipated matchup against Ole Miss.

The Tigers opened as a 2.5-point road favorite over the Rebels, according to early betting lines released Sunday.

The matchup will feature one of the biggest storylines of the college football season as LSU head coach Lane Kiffin returns to Oxford for the first time since leaving Ole Miss during the Rebels’ College Football Playoff run to take the LSU job.

LSU enters the matchup coming off a 45-14 win over Louisiana Tech, while Ole Miss handled Charlotte on Saturday, 41-9.

Kickoff from Vaught-Hemingway Stadium on Saturday is at 6:30 p.m. CT on ABC.

Ole Miss was favored earlier in the summer! If both teams can put the distractions aside, it should be a good game!

I expected LSU -4, but I think LSU wins by 2 TD's. Remember, LSU's starters on defense haven't given up a single sustained drive which resulted in points.
