LSU head coach Ed Orgeron said Tuesday that senior outside-linebacker Corey Thompson will redshirt this season.

Thompson switched positions from safety to linebacker in the offseason but injured himself during fall camp.

He will be a superb SR OLB next season. He can run with RB's/TE's, and has enough size to hold up well in that spot. Will likely add more size/muscle this offseason. Also all the reason more, IMO, to move Divinity (234lbs) to ILB with D. White and D. Alexander. It would be a nice rotation. GT!
