Per LSUSports.net: OXFORD, Miss. — An goal-line stand at the end of the first quarter flipped the momentum of the contest, as No. 12 Ole Miss defeated LSU, 31-17, on Saturday afternoon at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium.

After taking a 7-0 lead midway through the first quarter on a nine-play, 90-yard drive, LSU (4-4, 2-3 SEC) looked to silence the home crowd with a second TD. However, the Tigers turned the ball over on downs with an interception at the 1.

Ole Miss (6-1, 3-1 SEC) scored 31 unanswered points to take control, as LSU lost two fumbles, recorded one first down, and missed a 55-yard field goal during the second and third quarters.

Bought my first season tickets this year. Gonna be tough last 2 home games. Of course the way we’re playing, ULM is no gimmie.

The recruiting classes Orgeron inherited were ranked 5, 8, 2 and 6. You think DiNardo was pulling in classes like that to hand over to Saban?

Dinardo in fact transformed the recruiting base for LSU and not Saban. Do your homework, pal. Dinardo wasn't a great coach but was a great visionary.

That was ugly. Jay Ward had needed a tackling clinic all season. Yikes. He’s like a police escort getting people to the end zone unscathed.

Out Coached and not prepared. O has a limited intellectual capacity…. Won’t kick a fg from the 4 but kicks fg’s from the 54… Baseball and Basketball can’t come soon enough!
