LSU freshman tight end Trey'Dez Green spoke with reporters this week and was asked about this plan to play basketball for the Tigers after the football season.
The former five-star tight end was also a standout basketball player at Zachary High School, where he received school offers to play both sports.
Green has already made an early impact in football, catching his first touchdown pass in the home opener against Nicholls, which was surreal for him, considering he only started playing football during his sophomore year of high school.

"I started playing football in the 10th grade, just for fun, and I just took off with it," Green said.

"I'm playing basketball this year, but my focus is on football right now, getting better on my technique and beating South Alabama."
"Everyone has a clear understanding of what I'm doing, and we have a great schedule planned out for me on the basketball side, but right now, I'm just locked in on football."
