LSU freshman Chasen Hines will make his first career start on Saturday vs. Mississippi State at left guard, according to head coach Ed Orgeron.

Adrian Magee started at left guard vs. Georgia last week but was replaced by Hines after the first drive.

Hines was recruited to LSU as a defensive tackle but switched to offense before fall camp. The 18-year old from Marshall, TX has played in four games this season filling in for injured guard Garrett Brumfield.

Orgeron beat out Tom Herman for Chasen Hines. Nice job Coach O! Congrats on making the 1st team as a Freshman, Mr. Hines. Impressive!!

This year is going to end up a detrimental building block for our O-line next season. The injuries and constant shuffling is going to pay huge dividends in 2019.
