Four-star LSU freshman defensive tackle Travonte Valentine announced on Twitter Monday that he has been cleared to play by the NCAA. His High School coach confirmed the news as well.
Valentine, a 6-foot-3, 330-pounder out of Florida is expected to arrive at LSU on Tuesday and will begin practice either on Tuesday or Wednesday.

He will not be be allowed to participate in full pads until his fifth day of practice as part of the NCAA’s mandated, four-day acclimation period rule.
