Former LSU defensive tackle Jalen Lee announced Monday that he has committed to UNLV.

The Watson, La. native transferred to LSU from Florida in 2022. He appeared in seven games in 2023, registering two tackles and a fumble recovery. He played in four games this past season.

Now, Lee reunites with new Rebels head coach Dan Mullen, who recruited him to Florida out of high school.

You know I had my reservations about the TP. But going back to my time as a student trainer athletes were so hamstrung to stay at one school. Coaches like Sabin had so much control over them. No extra money, broke. As students we envied them but it was extremely to be a student athlete. Now kids can find a niche somewhere & be appreciated & free to make a little extra money. Only bad thing if they accept money coaches can use that to their advantage.

Saban is really bad with roster management, that’s why he failed so hard in the nfl. He’s a great recruiter but he’s only successful when players have little control and are basically forced to stay at his school. It’s why he quit as soon as the transfer portal became popular
