While speaking at the Baton Rouge Rotary Club Wednesday, LSU coach Les Miles said that running back Leonard Fournette should be a Heisman Trophy contender this season.

The talented back from New Orleans, LA tweeted the following this afternoon and former LSU star Tyrann Mathieu responded.

Fournette set an LSU record for freshman rushing with 1,034 yards and 10 touchdowns last season. Expect big things from the sophomore running back in 2015.

It will be difficult for LF7 to win a Heisman in Miles' running back-by-committee offensive scheme. He simply won't get enough touches.

just let him play qb so he can run out of the position. Elimnate the handoff. No deception that hes getting the ball anyways

Got to feed him. Couple times last season, it was like Miles forgot he was on the roster. Feed Him!
