LSU senior linebacker Kendell Beckwith is one of five finalists for the Butkus award, which goes to the top linebacker college football each year.

Beckwith suffered a knee injury against Florida and did not return for the rest of the game. His status for Thursday night's game vs. Texas A&M is unknown.

Well deserved. I can't count how many times he has come through at the PERFECT time for us to help close out a drive and get our offense momentum and field position.
A few missed tackles this year he'd like I have back but dang what a year he has had under a new system.
