With the overall success that many LSU rookies are having in the NFL this season, former LSU running back Jeremy Hill is wondering how the Tigers lost any games last season...
Here are some offensive stats for LSU rookies this season:
Jeremy Hill (Bengals):131 rushes for 643 yards and 6 TD's.
Jarvis Landry (Dolphins): 49 receptions for 450 yards and 5 TD's.
Odell Beckham Jr (Giants): 41 receptions for 609 yards and 5 TD's.
Alfred Blue (Texans): 120 rushes for 436 yards and 0 TD's. (1 receiving TD)
Zach Mettenberger (Titans): 1,103 passing yards, 7 TD's and 5 INT's
James Wright (Bengals): 2 receptions for 32 yards

BaBaDoo, I came to Welters defense because we are talking about LAST years defense. I have said many times that Beckwith is a better linebacker than Welter, but Beckwith has had trouble at that position himself the past two seasons. I also don't see the point of placing the blame on one kid when the entire defense struggled at times last year.

I don't really understand why so many people come to Welters defense when someone mentions him as a weak link. I'm sure he's a good kid and all, but if you don't notice the difference with beckwith in there, you might just not understand football. And that's not to mention the importance of that spot in the middle of a 4-3. Read option teams like their chops when they see him across the line.

DVinBR, the defense was horrible. The MLB play was no better or no worse than any of the other defensive positions.
