The No. 11 LSU Tigers (1-0) will host the Southeastern Louisiana Lions (0-1) this Saturday for the home opener in Tiger Stadium. Kickoff is set for 6:05 pm CT on ESPN2 and calling the game will be Anish Shroff and Ray Bentley.

LSU in 1-0 all-time vs. Southeastern, beating the Lions 48-7 during the 1949 season.

LSU will look to continue its 12-game winning streak in home openers against the Lions, and Saturday will mark just the second time the in-state school separated by just 47.1 miles will meet. The Tigers won the first, a 48-7 victory on Nov. 19, 1949.

On Saturday, LSU will have 30 players making their Tiger Stadium debuts.

“Obviously, we are very excited to play at home,” said head coach Ed Orgeron, who improved to 16-6 as LSU’s head coach after defeating Miami. “Tiger Stadium, that’s what we wait all year for. It’s going to be a great crowd. Our players are going to be excited. We have a lot of new coaches. I have the score 45 tigers slu 10. I really hope we throw the ball around a good bit just to work with the timing of the receivers in a live game. Geaux Tigers!!!!!!!!
