The 2019 recruiting class arrived in Baton Rouge last weekend to begin their college careers at LSU, but two players were missing according to Ed Orgeron.

A total of 19 signee moved in on campus but linebacker Donte Starks and strong-side defensive end Soni Fonua did not arrive due to academic work that still needs to be completed. Per The Advocate:
quote:

Orgeron said two freshmen did not arrive with the rest of the class: John Ehret inside linebacker Donte Starks and junior college transfer Soni Fonua.

Orgeron said Starks (nation's No. 10-rated inside linebacker) and Fonua (No. 4 JUCO strong-side defensive end) both still have academic work to complete before they can arrive on campus.
The players on campus will begin the summer program on Tuesday with strength and conditioning coach Tommy Moffitt.

The other 2 likely just need to take/finish a summer school course. All 25 will likely report before Fall

It's also possible he just needs to finish a class, it's not always because of grade issues.
