Ed Orgeron spoke to the media after practice on Thursday and announced that freshman quarterback TJ Finley will start vs. South Carolina on Saturday.

Finley beat out fellow freshman Max Johnson for the starting spot, replacing Myles Brennan who is out with a lingering injury.

Hmmmm. Maybe he started for a reason!

Brennan is a little better than finley, but after spending 4 years with the team I expected for him to be. However, for all you pro max Johnson starters. The proof is in the pudding, Finley is light years ahead of max Johnson! Facts

I hate all of the woke crap, but screw those of you saying that TJ is only starting because of the color of his skin. That's BS. The kid has a lot of upside. I'm looking forward to seeing him play.

My hope is that the OC will script the 1st and 2nd series and the defense shows up so this kid does not get swallowed by having to make too many decisions and hold the ball too long. It would be nice to have a descent run game for these occasions too.

He may be another jamarcus Russel. Give the guy a chance. Obviously he’s the best we have at this point. Miles took one hit and is out for the season; “talk about weak”.

Coach O got that snatch on his mind. Making horrible decisions.
user avatar
BigTimer2342 months
Why is this a horrible decision?
user avatar
Puttmail_39342 months
How is this horrible? Let me guess maybe because he’s black. Btw, the best and highest drafted LSU Qb before last season was black also.
user avatar
Vernonbrew2242 months
Ha ha. That was a good take

Interesting. Wonder if there’s any rhyme or reason or if he’ll just be the first one to get snaps.
