After spending just two season in the NFL with the San Francisco 49ers, former LSU safety Eric Reid has established himself as an elite defensive player in the pros.

Reid, a Baton Rouge native, posted this picture on Twitter of him sporting an LSU "DBU" shirt, reminding everyone where it all started.

Great to see that pride not only for home state but home city. Burns me up when we loose guys from the metro area and they just forget where they came from. When theres a NFL feeder school in your backyard no need to bail on your roots. Love seeing Reid's name in lights at Dutchtown's stadium, Eddie Lacy's.....not so much.

The most underrated play I think by Eric Reid is when he met Trent Richardson at full speed and knocked the ball out of his hands about 10 feet into the air. It really set the tone of that game.
