Former LSU offensive tackle Willie Allen will be transferring to Tyler Junior College in Tyler, TX, according to Ross Dellenger with The Advocate:

Allen, a 6-7, 310-pounder who announced his plans to transfer earlier this month, visited several major conference schools over the last few weeks, including UCLA and Baylor, but he chose the junior college route as not to miss a year of eligibility.

Allen redshirted last year at LSU, burning his extra year. NCAA athletes can play four season over five years. Transferring to a Division I school would have forced Allen to sit out a second season in 2017, in accordance with NCAA transfer rules.
