ESPN published a list this week of the best true freshman players on each Top 25 team. For the Tigers, they picked wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase and also had some good things to stay about kickoff specialist Avery Atkins.

No. 13 LSU: WR Ja'Marr Chase

Freshmen are regular contributors at LSU and this year is no different. Chase has already flashed some big-play ability for the Tigers, catching two touchdown passes this season. On special teams, kickoff specialist Avery Atkins has been important, netting touchbacks on 86.8 percent of his kickoffs (33-of-38), the second-highest percentage in the SEC. -- Khan Jr.
Chase, a former four-star prospect from Metairie, LA (Rummel) has played in five games this season with seven receptions for 98 yards and two touchdowns this season.

It's arguable, because of the inept system, but their list is a bit skill-centric anyway. Even so, picking Schwartz over Boobie at Auburn disqualifies all of their other choices.

Marshall looks like he is going to be the possession receiver, and Chase looks to have that OBJ potential......
