LSU head coach Ed Orgeron says that running back Leonard Fournette should definitely be in the Heisman Trophy conversation, despite missing three games this season.

Orgeron was asked about the topic Wednesday on the SEC Coaches Teleconference:

Fournette missed three games this season due to an injury but is still averaging 8.1 yards per carry with 670 total yards and five touchdowns on the season. He also has 12 receptions and 94 yards receiving.

He recently broke LSU's single-game rushing record vs. Ole Miss by totaling 284 yards and scoring three touchdowns.

I do believe he should be in consideration but to outright say "he's the best player in the country"? I dunno. -Jackson -Peppers -J. Allen All probably disagree. I could make great arguments as to why those guys are just as good or better. Plus they play one teams without losses.

This is the only game that matters. He goes off on bama he's back up top. He falters (again), outside the bubble (again).
