Head coach Ed Orgeron met with the media on Thursday morning and talked about all the hard work that interim offensive coordinator Steve Ensminger has put in over this past season at LSU.

Ensminger was elevated from tight ends coach to coordinator after the firing of Cam Cameron on Sept. 25 and has done a tremendous job, according to Orgeron.

Ensminger, a Baton Rouge native who is in his seventh year at LSU, is expected to return to the staff in 2017 and work under new offensive coordinator Matt Canada.

I agree, SE you did a fantastic job and I for one and very thankful. For the first time in a long time I was excited to see us play offense. I surely hope you and Canada can work together and bring the best of both your worlds to our offense. Sincerely, Thank you!

Agreed. Great job by Steve except inside the 5 yard line. Got conservative and ran up the middle every time. I don't know why coaches do that. Unfortunately, it probably cost him a shot at the permanent OC. That said, glad he's on our staff and I know he will contribute next year as well as the bowl game.

He made it well known that he didn't want the OC job, anyway. Guy's been in the game for a long time, he probably just wants to kick back, coach TE's and make $300k.

Ensminger solid QB along with David Woodley, solid coach too. Glad he's on the staff, really turned our stagnant offense into a scoring machine a couple of games.

I for one, was very surprised at how much he turned our offense around this season- he has more than justified remaining on the staff. I hope everything works out for Steve E.

Fans have been wanting g Ensminger out, for years he was slated as one of Les' BBQ buddies that brings nothing to the table.

Slap some BBQ sauce on disloyalty and it still takes okay.

I take it that a couple of other guys were not loyal.

This is called "reading between the lines.'' Good job. There's a lot of material Coach O puts out that can be deciphered.
