LSU head coach Ed Orgeron was one of 22 coaches named to the 2019 American Heart Association Bear Bryant Award Watch List on Thursday. Per LSUSports.net:

Orgeron, who is in his fourth season as head coach of the Tigers, has a 32-9 overall mark at LSU with seven of his victories coming against Top 10 opponents, including two in 2019.

Orgeron is one of 22 coaches from across the country named to the watch list. The list of 22 will be narrowed to a group of finalists in December.

Since taking over as head coach of the Tigers during the 2016 season, Orgeron has transformed LSU into one of the nation's elite programs, winning 25 of the 32 games by double-figures and 16 against Top 25 opponents.

Overall, LSU has played 36 of its 41 games under Orgeron ranked in the Top 25 with 16 of those contests coming as a Top 10 team. LSU is currently riding an 8-game winning streak and the Tigers are 17-3 over their last 20 games dating back to last year.

I’m still amazed that people doubt his abilities as a head coach. Let them keep doubting him and he’ll just keep winning.
