During a radio interview with WWL radio in New Orleans last week, LSU head coach Ed Orgeron talked about the possibility of cornerback Derek Stingley Jr. playing offense at some point for the Tigers. Per SI.com:
quote:

"During recruiting, I promised him two years on defense and then the next year, the third year, I think you're going to see Derek play both ways for us," Orgeron said.

"I think this year you're not going to see us just use Derek in man free coverage, I think you're going to see him blitzing, I think you're going to see him use his talents in some places where we need him on defense. I think Bo's going to mix it up where he's going to have our corners doing different things."

Wow Orgeron will really promise a recruit anything. 2 years of defense then we’ll get you on offense  i can’t wait for O to come out next year saying Stingley has realized he’s a top 5 draft pick at corner and will stay on defense

The timing will work out great since we likely lose our top two WR plus McMath who is potentially #3.
