LSU head coach Ed Orgeron has gone on the record multiple times this week saying that he will keep player suspensions in-house and handle discipline internally.

Several players are expected to be suspended for the season opener on Saturday and Orgeron explained that he is keeping suspension in-house because he does not want to give a competitor an advantage before the game.

For the reason he gave and because a public shaming (especially with social media these days) can have a lasting impact on person's reputation and could follow anyone for the rest of their lives. Unless it's for an egregious offense requiring a serious life lesson, it just isn't needed.

Good for Coach 'O'. Man that's a tough thing to keep close to your belt and he's showing great leadership. Hopefully these kids see a bigger picture after sitting out of a marquee game.

I agree totally. I don't need to know. I need to see a Tiger victory! And that's all. Can't wait!

Of course we want to know the reason, but this really is none of our business as fans. Especially since these kids don't get paid.

Orgeron is a gamer through and through.
