LSU head coach Ed Orgeron announced Thursday that newly reinstated offensive lineman Ed Ingram will start on Saturday vs. Utah State.

"Ed Ingram is going to start," Orgeron said after practice. "He's earned a starting spot. Adrian Magee may start at left tackle... We have to monitor (Ingram's) play and see how it goes."

When asked about the rotation at left tackle and whether or not Saahdiq Charles would be available...

"Adrian is going to play left tackle this week."

Very nice that Ingram gets at least one ‘warm-up’ game before hitting the SEC slate.

Charles has to serve a four-to-six game suspension. So he didn't play against Georgia Southern NWS, and Vandy. He won't play against Utah State. If he has a 6 gamer, he won't play against Ole Miss or Arkansas either. Stay off the devil's lettuce Saahdiq!

Here is what I do not get - Charles is clearly in the dog house and has not "served his time," so why not give him the Thorton treatment and say he is suspended from the team? It seems like O is leaving the door open for Thorton to come back, so why is he suspended from the team and not a "coaches decision?" I guess whatever Thorton did was that much worst than what Charles did... but how bad could either really be if they could both potentially come back...

This O-Line has the potential to be incredible.

Charles may have seen his starting days here at LSU are in the rear view mirror. Shouldn’t have been this way due to the fact he was starting left Tackle last year and now look where he is the dog house. Can’t ruin your chances with bad choices when it’s your time or someone else will take it from you and you will regret it forever.

The 4-6 games is set. This has nothing to do with his performance. He’s not losing his job at LT to Magee.

Charles probably hasn’t served his full suspension yet. We don’t know how many games he was suspended for.
